What would have been.
HIM
We would have had a great life,
I would have made you happy,
I would have loved you till my dying breath;
He said as he looked at me.
The hurt and sadness in his eyes, told a story that was never fully written.
HER
I loved him, I still love him,
but this were words I could never utter.
The boat, our ship had sailed and I had arrived my destination: one where he wasn’t there.
I packed my bags and without a little goodbye, I left, I just moved on, just sailed without a glance back. Or so I thought.
We were sailing, but in different directions,
Dancing, but never in sync,
You wanted the world; all the fame and glamour than came with it.
And I? I wanted all the simple things in life, without the world in it.
One of us would have to break, to make the other.
We would have had a great life; but just for a little while,
You would have made me happy; while breaking me,
You would have loved me till your dying breath; not without me giving more than I had.
We would have……..
Is a story, we would never know it’s end.
